My first fire opal wrap! 🔥🔥🔥 featuring opalite and lapis lazuli 😊 I adore opals of all types, but fire opal is so unique and special. One of the most “negative” comments I often hear while vending at markets is “I have too much jewelry” In a culture where many of us are trying to promote more sustainable practices within our lifestyle, consuming more ethically and avoiding overconsumption is often a goal for many of us. Which is awesome! However, I’m here to argue that handmade jewelry, and most handmade items in general have a significantly lower carbon footprint, higher quality materials, and immense chance for longevity as opposed to cheaper, fast fashion options. I’m not saying non-handmade jewelry is all bad!
