Description
Pink sea glass is often derived from 100 year old clear bottles that turned pale pink with sun exposure. In the early 19th century, large amounts of selenium were added to a glass batch to offset naturally occurring impurities in the sand mix. Larger amounts of selenium within glass are what produce the blushing, rosey color with time and UV rays.
Sea Glass
Sea Glass, or Beach Glass, are beautiful pieces of found-again treasures that wash upon the shore after years of churning within bodies of water. Over a duration of 30-50 years, or even more, powerful tides break the glass into smaller pieces and erode away sharp edges, producing a beautifully smooth and alluring glass gem.
